Welcome to Year 6 Maple Class. Year 6 is the final year for our students at Hawthorn and it will be a year full of exciting opportunities and challenges. We have high expectations for our pupils in Year 6 with them receiving extra responsibilities and being role-models for the younger children in school. In Year 6, children will be expected to work particularly hard in the run up to SATs and attend revision clubs but in return they will be rewarded with many happy memories, lasting friendships and extra treats! |

Home Learning
We expect Year 6 pupils to read at home for 15 minutes on at least 4 occasions per week. Reading diaries checked on Fridays as it is part of a reward scheme.
SPaG/Spellings and Maths set on Fridays and due back the following Friday. Homework will usually be set electronically on Spelling Shed and Times Table Rockstars.
