Admission Arrangements for EMAT Learning Partnership Academies

Our admissons have been delegated to the Local Authority  -  City of Doncaster Council - and is responsible for the admission arrangements of all EMAT schools. 

General Statement
In Doncaster, each academy or school serves a local community, usually referred to as the ‘catchment area’. These arrangements reflect the philosophy that ‘efficient education’ is particularly fostered by closely associating a secondary academy and a group of linked primary academies & schools, in a pyramid. In this way, each academy & school becomes part of the provision for a community and the education of the community’s children benefits greatly from the association of its academies & schools.

Closing Dates for Admissions for September 2026

Reception Class

• Closing date for applications - 15th January 2026
• Late applications can still be made and will be considered after the announcement date 
• National offer date is 16th April 2026 - Parents will be emailed their decision, using the email account used to apply.

Nursery Places 

• The closing date for receipt of applications for nursery in September 2026 is 6 October 2025. 
• Decisions will be emailed to parents on 6 November 2025.  
• Late applications are accepted and will be considered after those received by the closing date have been processed.
• Applications are considered during the school year and should be submitted by Friday at 5pm during term time.
• Decisions are normally sent within two school weeks.

Secondary School Places (for our Year 6 Pupils)

• National closing date for applications was 31 October 2025
• However, you may still apply and this will be considered after the national offer date
• National Offer Date is 2 March 2026 - Parents will be emailed their decision, using the email account used to apply.
